I just bought a laptop table named "Dave" from Ikea and im completely beside myself with glee ~~
...a necessary addition for the health of my back, so that I stop doing work at the coffee table and actually sit properly in a chair.....

I did something stupid to my back 2 days ago.....I haven't been able to do anything other than lie on the couch and watch tv. I didn't know it was possible...but I am officially sick of the tele.So.
I am mending.....just in case anyone was wondering where I was. I am lost in the wastelands of the "tube".
Good thing we got that new tv eh?
The "gold gym" thing.....thats not what is going to come out of this I'm afraid....

Tea cups make me happy.....
Along with my tea addiction I have an accompanying tea cup obsession.
I *must* have a fine bone china tea cup or mug to drink my tea from, or it just won't do. Given that, I buy a new tea cup from time to time (weekly *cough*) and I am fast approaching the time where I will have no more space to house my tea cups. Anyway...until that day happens...here is my newest addition that my husband gave to me from his recent trip to the U.K.

My new love affair.....
We bought a new 40" Sony television on Boxing day....and with it came a HD cable box with a PVR (personal video recorder) to try out "free" for 10 mos.
It's as if the heavens opened up and God smiled on me lol.
I always paid a ridiculous price for television shows that I never had time to watch....and now, I have set the PVR on auto record for all of them. I come down in the morning etc. and there on my PVR waiting for me....is a treasure chest of great television! I'm in heaven lol.
Anyway....that's where I've been.....

You'll never guess what I did.....
...This would have been a lovely and romantic New Year's passage
However, my family and I went to a neighbour's home for a New Year's get together. We ate, the kids ran amuck, we ate some more....and we sang karaoke.
You know what? I'm not even "ok".

And..I am sad to report...that contrary to my prior fantasy that I had regarding my singing voice....I do indeed suck. In fact, "suck" doesn't quite go far enough lol. I always thought I was an "ok" singer.....nothing you would write home about, but nothing that would make children cry in fear either. We did.
